The State of Things by Ligorano / Reese

On April 29, 2006, on the anniversary of the 3rd year of the invasion of Iraq, artists Ligorano/Reese made an temporary sculpture in the garden of Jim Kempner Fine Art in NYC. It was an ice sculpture of the word "Democracy" and melted in a little over 24 hours. This is a time-lapse video of what transpired that spring day.
